Ecumenical Commitment SPACE Karen's Place strives to combine the best practices of clinical treatment with a core discipleship program developed
by Teen Challenge over the past 50 years. In addition, Karen's Place partners with churches, ministers, ministries and parachurch
organizations to provide our students with an opportunity to learn about Christianity, grow in their Christian faith and to
choose for themselves a faith community that will disciple them when they leave our program. SPACE Karen's Place considers the discipleship
component of our program to be interdenominational and we are committed to being ecumenical in our approach to exposing our
students to the Christian faith. Our staff and volunteers are from various churches and though they
individually may have certain religious beliefs, Karen's Place does not teach or endorse any particular doctrines other
than the Apostle's Creed:
The Apostles' Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven
and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended
to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of
the Father, and he will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the
holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. AMEN. CE Public Ministry SPACE Karen's Place is involved in public ministry through its ministry team and choir. We accept invitations to all denominations.
We have ministered in many different churches including: Southern Baptist, Non-denominational,
Pentecostal, Charismatic, Methodist, American Baptist, Freewill Baptist, Church of God, Assemblies of God, Nazarene, Grace
Communion International, Christian Baptist, Community Churches, Independent Baptist, United Baptist and others. SPACE Karen's Place is Accredited by Teen Challenge International, U.S.A. and space Below is their Statement of Faith: - We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God.
- We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the
Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ,
His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miraculous ministry, His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection,
in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return to earth, at which time He will judge the quick and
the dead.
- We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin
is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential for personal salvation.
- We believe in the ordinances
of the church: Holy Communion and Water Baptism by immersion.
- We
believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides divine healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.
- We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian
is enabled to live a holy life.
- We believe in the Blessed Hope, the
imminent return of Jesus Christ followed by His reign on the earth for 1,000 years.
- We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and other to everlasting damnation.
